FAQ's and

Do you require evaluations prior to starting therapy?

This is determined on a case by case basis.  Typically, an evaluation is required.  If a child has a recent evaluation report, an evaluation may not be required.  It is important that we have all of the necessary information to develop a comprehensive therapy plan.

What type of computer and other programming is required?

Any type of PC or Mac desktop or laptop will work.  We do not recommend using a smart phone or a tablet.  You will also need to download Google Chrome, a free web browser. If you do not already have Google Chrome you can access it here https://www.google.com/chrome/.

Do you need to wear a headset or use an external webcam during the session?

No.  Most computers have microphones and web cameras built in.  Depending on the quality of these items, a headset and external webcam may be recommended.  These two items alone can ensure a seamless connection without any audio or video distortions .

How do I get my busy child to sit still for the entire session?

We take pride in our ability to keep children engaged and focused for the entire session.  Sometimes, a child may need a little help getting set-up and we will handle the rest.

Am I required to have physical copies of materials on our end?

No.  We can use 100% virtual materials for our sessions.  However, it is possible for us to use games or toys as part of our session.  We can also share documents with you (e.g. coloring sheets) for at-home practice in between sessions.
